Contribution of study materials

 Education is a fundamental right and key driver for social and economic development. However, many children from underprivileged background face significant barriers in accessing quality education including the lack of essential study materials. We, the student teachers of KUCTE, Kulakkada, provided assistance to underprivileged students of GHSS Kulakkada, by equipping them with essential study materials. We handed over the study materials to the Head Mistress of GHSS Kulakkada on 24th May, 2024 at the school. Smt Bini T R and Shri Gopalakrishna Pillai (Assistant Professors, KUCTE, Kulakkada) accompanied us while handing over these materials. Other teachers of the school were also witnessed the event. 

As B.Ed students, we are responsible and ideally positioned to lead such efforts. This will help to encourage our commitment to teaching as future educators. This type pf small gestures will not only support individual learners but also promote broader educational equity and social progress.

A Social visit to Saayandhanam

 We, the students of KUCTE, Kulakkada, visited "Saayandhanam" old age home on 23rd May,2024. Saayandhanam Vayojana Kendram, Puthoor, is a shelter home for indigent, destitute, elderly and homeless people administered by Kollam District Panchayath in association with Jeevanam Rehabilitation and Paliative care society. Initially, this was managed by Gandhi Bhavan, which is a popular and established shelter home organization. Later on 6th April, 2024, this shelter hoe was taken over by Kollam district panchayath.

Visiting this old age home was one of the most beautiful experience of my life. I felt very happy and proud to be a part of such a community service. I felt a mix of warmth and sadness throughout my visit. The residents greeted us with smiles and told us their stories. Despite of the bitter-sweet feeling, I felt that our visit has brought the residents, immense happiness and joy. Our social visit to this shelter home was a complex emotional journey. Visiting institutions like this will deepens  one's empathy and understanding of others and reinforces human values in our life. My visit to this home made me feel that we should love and respect our parents more and I also took a firm decision that I 'll take care of my parents in their hard times.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം - ജെ കൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തിയുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിൽ

 

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം എന്ന പ്രക്രിയയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ത്? ജീവിതത്തിലെ കുറെയേറെ വർഷങ്ങൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി ചെലവഴിച്ചിട്ടും അതിന്റെ ആത്യന്തികമായ ഉദ്ദേശം മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നതിൽ നമ്മുക്ക് തെറ്റുപറ്റിയോ?

പ്രശസ്ത എഴുത്തുകാരനും തത്വശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനുമായ ജെ കൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും , ജീവിതത്തിലെ അതിന്റെ പ്രാധന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന പുസ്തകമാണ് “എഡ്യൂക്കേഷൻ ആൻഡ് ദി സിഗ്നിഫിക്കൻസ് ഓഫ് ലൈഫ്”.

ആധുനിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സമ്പ്രദായം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ അറിവ് സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതിനും ഒരു ജോലിക്കു പാകപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിലും മാത്രം ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രികരിക്കുന്നു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം എന്നാൽ വരുമാനം നേടുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു ഉപാധി മാത്രമല്ല മറിച്ചു ഒരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയുടെ സമഗ്രമായ വികസനത്തിന് ഊന്നൽ നല്കുന്നതായിരിക്കണം എന്ന് കൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. വിദ്യാഭാസത്തിന്റെ ആത്യന്തികമായ ലക്‌ഷ്യം ആത്മജ്ഞാനമാണ്. സ്വന്തം സ്വത്വത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാനുള്ള മാർഗമാണ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, അതിനു നിലവിലുള്ള വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സമ്പ്രദായം പൊളിച്ചെഴുതേണ്ടതായുണ്ടെന്നു അദ്ദേഹം അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനു ജീവിതത്തിലുള്ള യഥാർത്ഥ പ്രാധന്യം മനസിലാക്കുവാൻ എന്നെ ഈ പുസ്‌തകം ഒരുപാട് സഹായിച്ചു. ഒരു അദ്ധ്യാപക വിദ്യാർത്ഥി എന്ന നിലയിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തോടുള്ള എന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് തന്നെ ഈ പുസ്‌തകം മാറ്റിയെടുത്തു.

വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും , അധ്യാപകരും , രക്ഷിതാക്കളും , വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രക്രിയയിലൂടെ ഒരിക്കലെങ്കിലും കടന്നു പോയിട്ടുള്ളവരും തീർച്ചയായും വായിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ട പുസ്തകമാണിത്.

Valentine's day & Black day

 ഫെബ്രുവരി 14 - വാലെന്റൈൻസ് ഡേ

പ്രണയിതാക്കൾക്കു അവരുടെ പ്രണയം ആഘോഷിക്കുവാനുള്ള ദിനം. പരസ്പരം പ്രണയിക്കുന്നവർക്കും, പ്രണയം തുറന്നുപറയാനിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കും, പ്രണയം മനസ്സിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കുമുള്ള ഒരു ദിനം. പരസ്പരം പൂക്കളും, സമ്മാനങ്ങളും, നല്ല നിമിഷങ്ങളും കൈമാറുന്നു. KUCTE കുളക്കടയിലെ കോളേജ് യൂണിയൻ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കായി വാലെന്റൈൻസ് ഡേ ആഘോഷം നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.   

ലോകമെങ്ങും പ്രണയദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുമ്പോഴും, ഫെബ്രുവരി 14 ഇന്ത്യക്ക് ബ്ലാക്ക് ഡേ ആണ്. 2019  ലെ ഒരു പ്രണയദിനത്തിലായിരുന്നു കശ്മീരിലെ പുൽവാമയിലെ വെച്ച്  തീവ്രവാദ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ 40 ധീര ജവാന്മാർ വീരമൃത്യു പ്രാപിച്ചത്. അവരുടെ സ്തുത്യർഹമായ സേവനത്തിനുമുന്പിൽ തൊഴുതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ ഓർമക്കായി മെഴുകുതിരി നാളം തെളിയിച്ചു.   

Republic Day

 ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭരണഘടന അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെയും രാജ്യം റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കായി മാറിയതിന്റെയും സ്മരണയാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ദിനം. ഈ ദിവസത്തിന്റെ മുഖ്യ ആകർഷണം കർത്തവ്യ പഥിലെ പരേഡാണ്. ഫ്രഞ്ച് പ്രസിഡന്റ്  ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ മാക്രോൺ ആയിരുന്നു 2024  ലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് ദിനത്തിലെ അതിഥി. 

ഈ ദിവസത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി KUCTE കുളക്കടയിലെ സോഷ്യൽ സയൻസ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ ഒരു ദേശഭക്തിഗാന മത്സരം നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. ഹിന്ദി ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റിലെ  വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളായിരുന്നു വിജയികൾ.

Capacity building Programme

  As part of the Capacity building programme suggested in the B.Ed. curriculum, we, the students of KUCTE, Kulakkada, made the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Kulakkada, practice some essential Personality skills. I, along with my classmate, made the students of 7th standard practice a personality development activity called "Dear Me." It is an effective personality development technique to improve one's self-confidence by writing a letter to oneself. This activity helped the students gain an improved understanding of themselves and also gave them an opportunity for self-reflection. 

SUPW

ഒന്നാം സെമസ്റ്റർ B.Ed. ലെ സോഷ്യലി യൂസ്ഫുൾ ആൻഡ് പ്രൊഡക്ടിവ് വർക്കിന്റെ (SUPW) ഭാഗമായി ഞങ്ങൾ KUCTE കുളക്കടയിലെ സോഷ്യൽ സയൻസ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ സോപ്പ്, പേപ്പർ സോപ്പ്, ഫ്ലോർ ക്ലീനിങ് ലോഷൻ, പേപ്പർ ബാഗ്, എന്വല്പ് എന്നി ഉത്പന്നങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി. 

 1. സോപ്പ് നിർമ്മാണം

സോപ്പ് നിർമ്മിക്കുവാനായി ആദ്യം കാസ്റ്റിക് സോഡയിലേക്ക് വെള്ളം ചേർത്ത് ഇളക്കുക. 200 gm കാസ്റ്റിക് സോഡയ്ക്ക് 600 ml വെള്ളം ആവശ്യമാണ്.  തുളസി നീര്, കറ്റാർവാഴയുടെ ജ്യൂസ്, ചെമ്പരത്തി നീര് മുതലായവ ചേർത്താൽ പ്രകൃതിദത്തമായ നിറവും ഗുണവും നൽകും. അതിനുശേഷം ടാൽക് പൗഡറിലേക്ക് വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ ചേർത്തിളക്കുക. നേരത്തെ തയാറാക്കിവെച്ച ക്യാപ്സ്റ്റിക് സോഡാ മിശ്രതവും ടാൽക് പൗഡർ ഒരുമിച്ചു ചേർത്ത് തുടർച്ചയായി ഇളക്കുക. ഈ സമയം സോയ്പ്പിലേക്ക് ആവശ്യമുള്ള ഫ്രാഗ്രൻസ്‌ ചേർക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ഓർഗാനിക് സോപ്പ് വേണ്ടവർക്ക് കളർ ഒഴിവാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ശേഷം ഈ മിക്സ് ഒരു മോൾഡിലേക്ക് മാറ്റാവുന്നതാണ്. സോപ്പ് ഉറച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ഉപയോഗത്തിന് തയ്യാർ.     

2. ഫ്ലോർ ക്ലീനിങ് ലോഷൻ

ഫ്ലോർ ക്ലീനിങ് ലോഷൻ നിർമ്മിക്കുവാനായി ആവിശ്യത്തിന് വലിപ്പമുള്ള ഒരു പാത്രം എടുക്കുക. അതിലേക്ക് സ്ലറി അഥവാ ഫിനായിൽ കോമ്പൗണ്ട് ഒഴിച്ച് ഒരേ ദിശയിൽ ഇളക്കുക. 100  ml സ്ലറിക്ക് 1 liter  വെള്ളം എന്ന അളവിൽ വെള്ളം ചേർത്ത് നന്നായി മിക്സ് ചെയ്യക. ശേഷം ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള കുപ്പികളിലേക്ക് പകർന്നു വെക്കുക.   

                                                                       

Union Inauguration & Merit day

KUCTE,  കുളക്കട 2023-24 അധ്യയന വർഷത്തിലെ കോളേജ് യൂണിയൻ ഉദ്‌ഘാടനവും 2023 ലെ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി പരീക്ഷയിൽ ഉന്നത വിജയം കൈവരിച്ച വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ അനുമോദിക്കുന്ന മെറിറ്റ് ഡേ ഫങ്ക്ഷനും വളരെ വിപുലമായി  കോളേജ് ജനറൽ ഹാളിൽ വെച്ച് നടന്നു. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വേഗതയേറിയ പെർഫോമിംഗ്  ചിത്രകാരനും , ചിത്രകലയുടെ അരങ്ങിലെ ആവിഷ്കാരമായ വരയരങ് തനതുകലാരൂപത്തിന്റെ ഉപജ്ഞാതാവുമായ ശ്രി ജിതേഷ്‌ജിയും, ഫ്ലയിങ് ചാക്കോ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന മുൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ഫുട്ബോൾ താരവും , റിട്ടയേർഡ് പോലീസ് സൂപ്രണ്ട് കൂടിയായ ശ്രി കെ ടി ചാക്കോയും ചേർന്ന് കോളേജ് യൂണിയനും  ബഹുമാനപെട്ട കൊല്ലം ജില്ലാ അംഗം ശ്രീമതി ആർ രശ്മി മെറിറ്റ് ഡേയും  ഉദ്ഘടാനം ചെയ്തു. അതോടൊപ്പം സഹസ്ര കോളേജ് യൂണിയന്റെയും , ആർട്സ് , സ്പോർട്സ്, ലിറ്റററി ക്ലബ്ബുകളുടെയും പേരും ലോഗോയും റിവീൽ ചെയ്തു. അതോടൊപ്പം മധുരം മ്യുസിക് ബാൻഡിന്റെ സംഗീത വിരുന്നു കൂടിയായപ്പോൾ അതിമനോഹരമായ ഒരു ചടങ്ങായി മാറി.
