A workshop on Life Skill practices and Stress Management was conducted on 26th June, 2024. The resource person of the workshop was Shri. E. K. Jijan, Assistant Professor, Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram. He is a resource person in ELT and member of a number of academic bodies and handles classes in various institutions. The program coordinators of the workshop was Dr. Durga Lekshmi G. S. and smt. Smitha T.S. (Assistant Professors in Perspectives in Education, KUCTE, Kulakkada).
Life skill workshop is a critical component of the holistic development of the Student teachers. This workshop is designed to equip the future educators with essential skills that go beyond academic knowledge, fostering personal growth, emotional intelligence, and practical competencies. Life skill workshops offers a structured and an immersive environment where participants can acquire new skills, enhance existing ones and foster personal and professional growth.

This workshop helped to work together more effectively and improve team collaboration, develop essential life qualities, increases efficiency and productivity and opportunity to develop decision making abilities. It is an important aspect of self care and incorporating stress management techniques in our lives and routines can have a greater benefit.
WORKSHOP ON STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress management is necessary for maintaining mental and physical health, improving cognitive function, fostering healthy relationships, preventing burnouts and to enhance the quality of life. Stress management workshops are pivotal foe student teachers to ensure to maintain their well-being, perform better academically, and to prepare them as future educators. Therefore a workshop on managing stress as a part of capacity building program is an essential for student teachers.
